Transactions is an application that will provide you with all the tools and support to convert your transactions into a format suitable for your accounting and personal finance software.
As you can guess, Transactions is also available on Mac and you can download it, after paying a fee, from the official Apple store or from the developer's website.
Converting it to QuickBooks is equivalent to converting it to the QBO (web connection) format or the IIF format, especially if you have QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2018-2021.
For earlier versions of QuickBooks, convert it to the IIF format.
You should consider that QBO transaction files are imported in the same way as transactions downloaded directly from your bank. That is, after you import the file, you must open the imported statement and match the vendor records and assign expense / income accounts by adding transactions to the record.
Transactions has a convenient interface to assign categories based on payee names or direct editing.
If you have Quicken for Mac, you must convert it to the QFX format in case it is the 2018-2021 version.
If it is an old version of Quicken you must use the CSV Mint format.
You can also make use of QIF transaction files that are easily importable by Quicken and allow you to provide categories and labels for each transaction.
As with QuickBooks, the Transactions app provides an easy-to-use mapping interface for mapping categories, however, consider that Quicken uses the renaming rules to map categories during import.
Make sure your third-party personal finance software supports importing transactions using one of the following file formats: CSV, OFX, QFX, QBOO, QIF. The Transactions application supports all of these listed formats.
Online accounting services generally also support and import QFX files, and therefore support Transactions operations.
